Description
From birth to age 8, children take the first steps in a lifelong learning journey as they grow and develop. The objectives of this module are to:
- Define Child Development
- Identify the benefits of learning about typical child development
- Recognize the abilities children are born with that equip them to learn in early childhood
- Identify and describe the five domains of development
- Learn strategies to support children’s development in the child care setting.
This basic knowledge of child development will give the early childhood professional a solid foundation for daily practice and decision making in the classroom.
This 4 hour Introduction to Child Development Course is comprised of materials delivered online and an assessment completed via Google Forms.
